Hey friends, things at FIU have been busy the past few weeks. There are no offseasons anymore. We announced a football head coach last week (Ron Turner), and now going through assistant coach hiring announcements and such.

I’m excited that I have been partaking in some special projects the past couple of months, namely working with our basketball courtside seating sales and work with the FIU Alumni Association.  Hopefully, the efforts put in now will translate to many new fans of FIU athletics in the near future.

CoSIDA has been amazing this year. Our membership is at a record-level size. We are shortly going to head to Dallas for our first-annual Mid-Year Meetings, to be held at the NCAA Convention. Our convention moves to Orlando in 2013, to be held in conjunction with the NACDA Conference.  So much going on, I hope my fellow SIDs are staying involved.
